لا يجوز القيام بأي عمل أو التدخل بقصد قطع النسل للمرأة، إلا بموافقتها الخطية وبناءً على رأي
صادر عن لجنة طبية متخصصة مكونة من ثلاثة أطباء من أصحاب الاختصاص على الأقل
ويستثنى من ذلك الحالات الطارئة .
