يهدف السجل العام إلى ما يلي:-
أ - تلبية التوجهات الحكومية نحو التحول الرقمي الشامل.
ب - تحسين الوقت المستغرق للحصول على بيانات دقيقة وآنية للأنشطة الاقتصادية المسجلة
والمرخصة.
ج - تسهيل الوصول إلى البيانات للجهات الرسمية وتوفير إحصاءات وتقارير دقيقة لاتخاذ القرارات
المدروسة.
د - تعزيز التنافسية الاقتصادية للمملكة، وجذب المزيد من الاستثمارات.
هـ- تقديم المعلومات والتقارير عن الأنشطة الاقتصادية وتطورها.
